a quick note

hey y’all,

I wanted to pop in and just give a quick update. i haven’t stopped this project. not by any means. and i apologize for the delay recently in articles. and i wanted to give you all a bit of an explanation. as some of you know my cancer returned in september of this past year, and i began weekly chemo treatments at the beginning of october. in the grand scheme of things, i don’t have it that bad - no complaints here. but there are side effects, and among them - and relevant to this particular project - are brain fog, exhaustion, etc. added to that i am in the final weeks of opening a restaurant and all that to say — as much as i have wanted to carve out time to write, and i probably should have for my own mental sanity, i haven’t. i am pretty hard on myself, and i feel a certain amount of guilt and disappointment that I haven’t been able to keep up my end of the bargain. i’m learning to give myself a bit of grace here and there. so this is me “trying” to give myself some grace and asking for a bit too. articles will return. too many stories to tell. in other news, The Noble Crown, will be opening in about 3 weeks…hope to see y’all there!.
